How many times have you found yourself looking at the calendar, and you realize that none of the dates filled out with a vent or anything that you’ve chosen to do? Instead, they’re full of work functions, events you’re pressured into attending, and other dates you don’t even know why you’re going. Far too often, we find ourselves craving time, but we don’t push to give ourselves what we need the most.
There is a direct correlation between choice and happiness. It’s no surprise that the number one thing in our lives that removes the ability for choice is work. Between that and our personal life, it can be challenging to find time for ourselves.
Eventually, all of that lack of choice leads to many lost dreams. The daily grind coupled with full schedules makes it nearly impossible to complete what we desire most. Now, if that sounds like an excuse, it’s because it is. When we are tired, we have a tough time fighting through those excuses.
Nearly every writer on Medium or inspirational speaker tells us relentlessly the power of fighting through the challenging moments and working hard. They’re right. But what if…
