It’s Most Important to be Thankful this Year

It goes a long way to be grateful for the average and mundane

This year especially, it’s important to be thankful for both the little and big things in our lives

I’ll share some things I am grateful for

And I hope you can link it to your lives and it resonates with you

I am thankful to be able to hear endless Christmas music for the next month

Taste Thanksgiving dinner and that extra piece of pie I really shouldn’t have

See my loved ones enjoying each other’s company

Even the seemingly most mundane hangouts lead to the greatest and longest-lasting memories

I am thankful to smell the 50 fall and winter candles my wife spreads all over the house

And to decorate each inch of our home as if we are in a Hallmark movie

I am thankful to feel the warmth in the living room after a long day with family and an abundance of food

I am grateful for my wife and the life we are sharing

And for my daughter, Mia, who has already changed my life for the better over the past ten months.
