I’m so sorry to hear that. I don’t know if it helps, but you aren’t alone. I’ve had some tough conversations with my mom when she relapsed, but they all seemed to fall flat. My family decided to force her hand a bit. We took away her car and dumped out any alcohol that we’d see. It helped. When we removed ourselves from her life, it led her down the path of sobriety. I understand that that may not be possible for you. Hopefully, you find some combination of actions to lead your dad down the same path again. As cheesy as it is, love can conquer almost anything.
